In this Omnisend vs Klaviyo comparison, I put two of the most popular ecommerce marketing platforms head to head — and help you work out which one is the better fit for your business.

First up, my quick verdict on Omnisend vs Klaviyo — and then a much deeper dive into both platforms.

Quick verdict

Both Omnisend and Klaviyo are excellent email marketing platforms, offering powerful tools for ecommerce marketing and automation.

For most small and midsize ecommerce businesses, Omnisend is likely the better choice. It’s easier to use, offers better value for money as an email marketing platform, and gives you strong SMS and web push notification tools. Its automation, segmentation and reporting and AI features will handle most merchants’ needs, while 24/7 support and free migration assistance make it particularly attractive if you want to get up and running quickly.

Klaviyo is the stronger option for businesses with more complex requirements. It offers more advanced segmentation, analytics and experimentation tools, a larger integration ecosystem, and a wider range of customer-service and data-management products. These give established businesses more ways to understand customers and refine their marketing. The trade-off is a steeper learning curve and potentially higher costs, but businesses that use its additional capabilities will find the investment worthwhile.

Getting started with Omnisend or Klaviyo

Omnisend and Klaviyo are both marketing platforms built with ecommerce firmly in mind. They let online merchants create email and SMS campaigns, automate customer journeys, segment audiences and track the sales generated by their marketing.

And both have been around for more than a decade. Klaviyo was founded in 2012, initially as a customer database; it subsequently added email marketing features and ultimately became what it now describes as a CRM for B2C brands.

Omnisend launched in 2014 as an ecommerce email marketing platform and has since developed into a multichannel marketing tool covering email, SMS and web push notifications.

Both platforms are widely used by online retailers, particularly Shopify and WooCommerce merchants. According to the company’s own figures, Omnisend is used by more than 150,000 stores, while Klaviyo reports that more than 205,000 brands worldwide use its platform.

Klaviyo

The two platforms have plenty in common, but there are some important differences between them. Klaviyo offers greater sophistication in several areas, while Omnisend packs an impressive amount of ecommerce marketing functionality into a generally simpler and more affordable package.

So, in what follows, I’ll compare Omnisend and Klaviyo across a range of key areas, highlighting where each platform gets the win — and which types of ecommerce business each tool is best suited to.

Reasons to use Omnisend over Klaviyo

1. Omnisend is easier to use

The first advantage Omnisend has over Klaviyo involves ease of use: of the two platforms, Omnisend is definitely the more user-friendly tool.

Its interface is clean and logically organized, with the main navigation focusing on the core tasks most ecommerce merchants will need to perform — creating campaigns, setting up automations and forms, managing contacts and viewing reports.

Omnisend's dashboard menu
Omnisend’s dashboard menu

This simplicity carries through to its individual features. I found creating an email campaign in Omnisend extremely straightforward — its drag-and-drop editor makes it easy to add content blocks, customize designs and incorporate ecommerce features like product recommendations, discount codes and countdown timers into newsletters.

Using Omnisend's email editor
Using Omnisend’s email editor

Setting up automations and segments in Omnisend is similarly simple. The platform provides prebuilt workflows for key ecommerce tasks — like welcoming new subscribers and recovering abandoned carts — while its visual automation builder makes customer journeys easy to understand and edit.

This ease of use extends to AI too. Omnisend AI includes tools for generating email copy and subject lines, building segments from plain-English instructions, creating forms and recommending products. These features can speed up routine marketing tasks without adding much complexity to the platform.

Klaviyo is a user-friendly platform too — it provides well-designed tools for creating campaigns, segments and automations. But there’s simply more “going on” in Klaviyo. Its interface exposes you to a broader range of analytics, experimentation and customer-data features, making the platform feel busier and giving new users more to get their heads around.

Klaviyo’s “Flow” automations library illustrates this well. When I accessed it, I was presented with 549 different prebuilt automation flows. Now, the platform does a good job of letting you organize these using search and filtering tools, but being presented with such a large number of options can feel a little overwhelming.

To be fair, this comprehensive range of automation options is impressive, but for small to medium businesses, it may feel like overkill.

Klaviyo’s extensive ‘Flows’ library offers plenty of options, but can feel a little overwhelming compared with Omnisend’s more focused approach

Importantly, Omnisend’s relative simplicity doesn’t mean it’s a basic tool. It still gives you sophisticated automation, segmentation, personalization and reporting features that will comfortably meet the needs of most ecommerce merchants.

So while both products score well for usability — and Klaviyo’s individual campaign, segmentation and automation tools are generally well designed — Omnisend gets the ease-of-use win overall. There’s less surrounding complexity to navigate, making it the easier platform to get up and running with.

2. Omnisend gives you better value for money for email marketing

Another significant advantage of using Omnisend over Klaviyo is price — particularly if email is your main marketing channel.

Omnisend’s pricing is also the more straightforward of the two. Beyond its free plan, there are just two main pricing options to consider: Standard and Pro. By contrast, when you sign up to Klaviyo, it asks you to configure your own package from its Marketing, Data + Analytics and Service products, with your final price varying according to the products, features and usage levels you select.

This provides considerably more flexibility, but also makes working out exactly what Klaviyo will cost you a more convoluted process.

Omnisend pricing plans
Omnisend pricing plans

To specifically compare the two platforms’ email marketing pricing, I checked the regular monthly prices of Omnisend’s email plans against Klaviyo’s core marketing/email subscription (excluding optional add-ons and introductory discounts).

ContactsOmnisend Standard / ProKlaviyo
1,000$20 / $59$30
5,000$81 / $90$100
10,000$132 / $150$150
20,000$265 / $375$375
50,000$413 / $715$720
100,000$900 / $1,334$1,380
150,000$1,456 / $1,914$1,955
*Prices shown are monthly US prices and exclude introductory discounts.

As you can see from my table above, Omnisend Standard was cheaper than Klaviyo for every list size I tested. And while the savings were fairly modest at some tiers, they were substantial at others. At 50,000 contacts, for example, Omnisend Standard costs $413 per month versus $720 for Klaviyo; at 100,000, it’s $900 versus $1,380.

You get a larger email send allowance with Omnisend Standard too: 12 times your billable contact allowance per billing cycle, compared with 10 times your active contact allowance with Klaviyo. So if you have 50,000 contacts in your database, you’ll get 600,000 email sends with Omnisend versus 500,000 with Klaviyo.

This makes Standard particularly attractive to entry-level and mid-sized ecommerce businesses that want access to sophisticated email marketing functionality without paying for more advanced tools they may not need.

For higher-volume senders, Omnisend Pro is worth considering. It gives you unlimited email sends and more advanced personalization functionality — and remains competitively priced against Klaviyo. At 10,000 contacts, both cost $150 per month; at 20,000, both cost $375; and at 50,000, Omnisend Pro costs $715 versus $720 for Klaviyo.

So the choice is reasonably simple: Standard is likely to offer the best value for many entry-level and mid-sized ecommerce stores, while Pro makes more sense as your business and sending requirements grow — particularly if you need unlimited email sends or want Omnisend’s more advanced personalization tools included in your subscription.

3. Omnisend gives you cheaper SMS messaging

Omnisend also has an advantage when it comes to the cost of sending SMS messages.

The company recently cut its SMS rates considerably, and US messages now start at $0.009 each, falling to $0.0085, $0.008 and ultimately $0.007 per message as your monthly SMS spend increases.

SMS pricing in Omnisend
SMS pricing in Omnisend

These rates are cheaper than the equivalent ones I encountered when testing Klaviyo’s pricing calculator. For example, $50 buys you 5,882 US SMS messages with Omnisend; sending 5,000 US toll-free messages with Klaviyo costs $70. At around 10,000 messages, I was quoted $90 by Omnisend for 10,588 messages, versus $130 for 10,100 with Klaviyo.

There is an important caveat here. For new Omnisend customers, SMS is only available as an add-on to the Pro plan — it’s not available on the Free or Standard plans. SMS credits are purchased separately, with a minimum spend of $10.

Klaviyo is more flexible in this respect, because you can add mobile messaging to a cheaper base subscription. It also provides more native mobile-messaging options, including MMS, RCS and WhatsApp, while Omnisend’s native offering is more focused on SMS and MMS.

But if SMS is an important part of your ecommerce marketing strategy — and particularly if you’re sending messages in significant volumes — Omnisend gets the win on price.

4. Omnisend supports web push notifications

Another advantage Omnisend has over Klaviyo involves web push notifications.

These let shoppers opt into notifications through their browser, giving ecommerce merchants another way to re-engage visitors — for example, with sales promotions, product announcements and, perhaps most usefully, abandoned-cart and browse-abandonment messages.

Creating a web push notification
Creating a web push notification

There’s evidence that this behavior-triggered use of push can be particularly effective. Benchmark data from PushEngage shows cart-abandonment and drip campaigns generating the highest click-through rates among the ecommerce push campaigns it analyzed.

Omnisend’s own 2026 data tells a similar story: across 458 million push notifications, automated messages achieved a 22.9% click-to-conversion rate and converted at nearly 10 times the rate of scheduled push campaigns.

Both datasets come from push-notification providers, so the figures should be viewed accordingly — but they point to web push having a useful role as an ecommerce re-engagement channel.

Activating web push notifications in Omnisend
Activating web push notifications in Omnisend

Omnisend makes sending push notifications particularly easy to do. Web push notification functionality is built into the platform, can be combined with email and SMS in automated workflows, and comes with 500 monthly push credits on Free and unlimited sends on Standard and Pro.

(One limitation to be aware of, however, is that Omnisend’s web push feature isn’t currently available to Wix users.)

Klaviyo supports push too, but mobile-app push rather than web push. It’s a sophisticated offering, but using it requires you to have your own iOS or Android app and integrate it with Klaviyo.

So if you already operate a mobile shopping app, Klaviyo’s push tools may suit you very well. But for the many ecommerce merchants that primarily sell through a website, Omnisend provides a much easier way to add push notifications to the marketing mix.

5. Omnisend gives you more accessible customer support

Omnisend has an edge over Klaviyo when it comes to customer support.

Both platforms provide email and live chat support, but Omnisend makes both channels available 24/7 on all plans — including its free one.

Omnisend support
Omnisend support

With Klaviyo, paid users get 24/7 email support, but standard live chat support is only available Monday to Friday. Weekend live chat is available through Klaviyo’s premium Professional and Enterprise support packages (pricing for which is negotiated with Klaviyo directly). Free users get email support for their first 60 days, but no human live chat support.

Unfortunately, neither platform provides phone support as standard.

I was impressed by Klaviyo’s self-service support, however. Its help center is large, well organized and available in 12 languages, compared with six for Omnisend. Many of the articles I consulted also included useful AI-generated overviews that distilled longer documentation into key points and instructions. Klaviyo provides an extensive Academy and user community too.

But Omnisend has another significant support advantage: free, hands-on migration assistance.

Moving between email marketing platforms can be a really fiddly process. But Omnisend’s migration team will do much of this work for you, transferring contacts and rebuilding key parts of your existing setup, including workflows, segments, forms and templates.

Klaviyo’s migration documentation gives you detailed instructions on how to move your marketing operation to the platform — but it’s no substitute for Omnisend’s more comprehensive, hands-on assistance.

Omnisend provides a free migration service from other email service providers
Omnisend provides a free migration service from other email service providers

This migration service is particularly valuable to small ecommerce businesses and owner-managed stores. A larger brand may have a dedicated email or lifecycle marketing specialist to handle data migrations internally — but if you’re, say, a solopreneur, you are unlikely to have this kind of resource, and spending days rebuilding your email marketing setup is time you could probably put to much better use.

So overall, Omnisend gets the win for customer support. Klaviyo’s self-service resources are very good, but Omnisend’s 24/7 human support on every plan — combined with its hands-on migration service — makes getting started and getting help considerably easier.

6. Omnisend gives you better list hygiene tools

If you’re new to email marketing, “list hygiene” simply means keeping your mailing list in good shape — removing or suppressing addresses that are invalid, no longer used or belong to people who never engage with your emails. This matters because repeatedly sending messages to poor-quality or inactive addresses can increase bounce rates and damage your sender reputation, making it more likely that future emails end up in spam folders.

Both Omnisend and Klaviyo provide extensive tools for list hygiene. Klaviyo automatically suppresses addresses that hard bounce, deals with repeated soft bounces, helps you identify never-engaged subscribers and can recommend inactive contacts for suppression.

But Omnisend adds something I couldn’t find an equivalent native feature for in Klaviyo: an on-demand email verification service. For $0.20 per 100 contacts, you can scan your list for invalid and disposable addresses, syntax errors, typos and other potentially risky contacts before sending emails to them.

Omnisend's email verification service
Omnisend’s email verification service

This is particularly useful if you’re importing an old mailing list or migrating to Omnisend from another email marketing platform. Rather than discovering problematic addresses through bounces after you start sending, Omnisend gives you an opportunity to identify many of them beforehand.

So that’s the case for Omnisend. But before moving on to where Klaviyo comes out on top, it’s worth looking briefly at an interesting AI feature that the two platforms have in common.

Using Omnisend and Klaviyo with ChatGPT and Claude

In addition to their built-in AI features, both Omnisend and Klaviyo support Model Context Protocol (MCP). This lets you connect your account to external AI tools like ChatGPT and Claude — and effectively use your preferred AI assistant as another way to interact with your email marketing platform.

So, rather than logging into Omnisend or Klaviyo and digging through reports, you can ask ChatGPT or Claude questions about your actual campaign data — for example, which campaigns generated the most revenue last month, or why performance has dropped.

Connecting Omnisend to ChatGPT via its MCP integration

And MCP isn’t just about getting answers. It can also let your AI assistant carry out supported tasks in your account, such as creating campaigns and working with customer segments.

This can be a real time-saver if you use ChatGPT or Claude as a regular part of your marketing workflow.

Next, we’ll look at the key advantages Klaviyo has over Omnisend.

Reasons to use Klaviyo over Omnisend

1. Klaviyo gives you more advanced segmentation features

Both Omnisend and Klaviyo provide sophisticated segmentation features, but of the two platforms, Klaviyo lets you take things further — particularly where predictive customer data is concerned.

Omnisend gives you plenty to work with on the segmentation front. It lets you create segments based on contact details, location, email engagement, website activity, products viewed or added to a cart, order history, average order value, total spend and more. Multiple criteria can be combined using AND/OR logic, and segments update automatically as customer data and behavior changes.

Where Klaviyo pulls ahead is in the predictive data you can use to create audiences. Its segmentation criteria include predicted customer lifetime value (CLV), predicted number of orders and average time between purchases.

Interestingly, Omnisend calculates predicted CLV too — but you can’t currently use this figure as a segmentation criterion. Instead, you use criteria such as average order value or customer lifecycle stage to identify high-value customers.

Omnisend's customer lifecycle stages map
Omnisend’s customer lifecycle stages map

The practical difference between these two approaches is easiest to see with an example.

With Omnisend, you could create a segment of customers who have already spent more than $500, but haven’t purchased in the last 90 days.

Klaviyo lets you go a step further, letting you create a segment of customers who are predicted to spend more than $500 over the next year, but haven’t purchased in the last 90 days.

You could then target this valuable segment with a dedicated campaign or use membership of it to trigger an automated flow.

There is a caveat here: Klaviyo needs a reasonable amount of ecommerce data before its CLV predictions become available, including at least 500 customers who have placed an order and 180 days of order history.

Ultimately both these platforms give you a lot of segmentation options. But for established stores that want to target customers based not just on what they’ve done, but on what they’re likely to do next, Klaviyo has the edge.

2. Klaviyo gives you more advanced analytics options

Both Omnisend and Klaviyo provide extensive reporting functionality, but Klaviyo gives you more scope to analyze your marketing and customer data in depth.

To be fair, Omnisend gives you plenty to work with. Its reports cover campaign and automation performance, revenue attribution, conversion rates, product sales, audience activity, deliverability and more. It lets you compare campaigns, examine individual workflow steps, apply filters, and export reports.

Omnisend reporting features
Omnisend reporting features

I found Omnisend’s “Reports AI” feature a particularly useful addition: it lets you ask questions about your marketing performance in everyday language and get answers based on your store’s data.

Klaviyo provides similarly extensive standard reporting, but its more comprehensive analytics offering lets you take things further. For example, while Omnisend calculates historical and predicted customer lifetime value (CLV) for individual contacts, Klaviyo’s paid analytics products also provide customizable CLV dashboards for analyzing customer value.

Klaviyo’s newer Report Builder adds further flexibility, letting you combine campaign and automation data, group results by custom customer or event properties, and apply up to 20 filters.

Klaviyo's Report Builder
Klaviyo’s Report Builder

These additional tools are likely to be most useful to larger or more data-intensive ecommerce businesses (note, however, that some of them involve extra costs). Report Builder is also currently in beta.

Omnisend’s reporting will be more than sufficient for many ecommerce businesses, and its Reports AI tool makes its data easier to interrogate. But if you need to build highly customized reports or analyze customer data in greater depth, Klaviyo may suit you better.

Klaviyo's Advanced Customer Data Platform

3. Klaviyo gives you stronger testing and experimentation tools

Both platforms provide strong A/B testing tools that let you compare different versions of your marketing material and see what performs best.

Omnisend lets you test campaign content, subject lines and sender details, while its automation A/B splits can compare different messages, delays, channels and offers.

Where Klaviyo goes further is in helping you measure the impact of your marketing more broadly.

For example, its global holdout groups let you exclude a small group of customers from receiving marketing and compare their purchasing behavior with customers who do receive it.

This helps answer an important question: are your campaigns and automations actually generating additional sales, or would some of those customers have purchased anyway?

Klaviyo's 'global holdout groups' feature
Klaviyo’s ‘global holdout groups’ feature

Klaviyo also provides built-in control-group testing for Personalized Send Time. This feature sends emails to some customers at a time they’ll be most likely to open them, while a control group receives them on a non-personalized schedule. You can then compare the results to see whether the optimization is actually improving opens, clicks and sales.

(Omnisend offers personalized sending times too, but not the option to measure the impact of this approach.)

And Klaviyo’s centralized Experiments area brings campaign and flow tests together, making it easier to review testing activity across a substantial marketing program.

Now, these are more specialized capabilities, and some require additional paid products. Using global holdout groups also requires at least 400,000 total customer profiles, so they won’t be relevant or available to every merchant.

But for larger ecommerce businesses that want to understand not just which aspect of their marketing performs best, but how much additional business it is actually generating, Klaviyo offers the more advanced experimentation toolkit.

4. Klaviyo gives you a wider range of integrations

Both Omnisend and Klaviyo provide extensive integration options, but Klaviyo offers more here. At the time of writing, its integration directory lists 402 integrations, while Omnisend’s lists 287.

Klaviyo also supports more ecommerce platforms — 27 versus 11 — and its wider range of connections includes enterprise and specialist systems such as Salesforce Commerce Cloud, commercetools and Shopware.

This can make Klaviyo a useful option for large businesses using less common ecommerce platforms or more complex technology stacks.

Klaviyo's apps and integrations directory
Klaviyo’s apps and integrations directory

For example, Klaviyo provides a dedicated Adobe Commerce (Magento) integration, while Omnisend’s current documentation directs Magento merchants toward an API-based connection.

(Omnisend can therefore still be used with Magento, but setting up the connection may require additional development work.)

Klaviyo’s broader integration ecosystem also caters to data and analytics tools such as Snowflake, Google BigQuery, Hiro Analytics, Zaymo and Orita. These integrations can be particularly relevant to larger businesses that need to bring customer, ecommerce and marketing data together across multiple systems.

💡 Tip: both platforms work with the syncing platform Zapier, which can help bridge gaps in their native integration offerings.

Ultimately, for merchants using mainstream ecommerce platforms and a relatively straightforward collection of apps, Omnisend’s integration options will usually be more than sufficient. But for larger businesses with more specialized systems — particularly those needing integrations with ecommerce, marketing and customer-data tools — Klaviyo’s broader ecosystem gives it the edge.

5. Klaviyo offers a wider range of tools for managing customer relationships

Omnisend gives ecommerce businesses a strong set of tools for reaching customers and driving sales. Klaviyo offers similar marketing capabilities, but goes further — over the past couple of years, it’s developed into a more “holistic” platform that also helps businesses manage customer service, analyze customer behavior and bring information from different systems together.

This means Klaviyo can play a larger role in how a business manages its customers. Rather than using it solely to send campaigns and automations, a company can also use it to handle customer questions, provide post-purchase services and work with customer information from across its operations.

Klaviyo Service is a good example of this broader approach. Its Customer Hub gives shoppers a personalized area on a store’s website where they can view orders, manage returns and subscriptions, access loyalty information and discover recommended products.

Klaviyo also offers an AI-powered Customer Agent that can answer questions, recommend products and help with order-related requests, while its Helpdesk gives support staff a workspace for managing customer conversations.

Klaviyo Service
Klaviyo Service

Then there’s Klaviyo’s Marketing Analytics and Advanced Klaviyo Data Platform. These provide additional tools for analyzing customer behavior, managing customer information and connecting it with data held in other business systems. For example, a large retailer could use these features to bring together information from its online store, physical shops and other software — and build a more complete picture of its customers.

Klaviyo is also developing AI tools that go beyond writing email copy. Its Composer agent can help create campaigns, analyze performance and identify issues before sending, while its Customer Agent is designed to handle customer-facing conversations.

And although ecommerce remains its key focus, Klaviyo also caters to a broader range of consumer-facing businesses, including restaurants and wellness businesses. This makes it potentially useful to companies that need to manage customer relationships but don’t necessarily operate a conventional online store.

The trade-off of this broader feature set is cost. Klaviyo’s functionality is spread across a range of separate products and plans that often cost extra to incorporate into your plan. Its pricing page lists additional charges for Service, Marketing Analytics, Advanced Klaviyo Data Platform and AI agents, with pricing depending on factors such as customer profiles, usage and the level of functionality required. Enterprise plans and higher levels of support are also available.

So, while Klaviyo can bring more of a business’s customer-facing activities together, accessing its full range of capabilities can involve a considerably larger investment than simply paying for email marketing. For businesses that only need effective ecommerce campaigns and automations, Omnisend may therefore be the more straightforward and economical choice.

But for companies looking for a platform that can handle more than marketing, Klaviyo’s broader offering is a significant advantage.

What do users think of Omnisend and Klaviyo?

Looking at user reviews, Omnisend and Klaviyo are pretty much neck and neck on Shopify and G2, but Omnisend performs considerably better on Trustpilot and WordPress.org.

On the Shopify App Store, both platforms score 4.7 out of 5. Omnisend has received this rating from around 3,170 users, while Klaviyo has around 3,265 reviews — impressive scores given the size of both samples.

It’s a similar picture on G2, where both products score 4.6 out of 5, based on around 1,250 Omnisend reviews and 1,360 Klaviyo ones.

Things look rather different on WordPress.org. Here, Omnisend scores 4.9 out of 5 from 168 reviews, while Klaviyo gets 3 out of 5 from just 24.

There’s also a substantial difference on Trustpilot, where Omnisend scores 4.4 out of 5 from 506 reviews, compared with 1.7 out of 5 from around 360 reviews for Klaviyo.

So overall, Omnisend has a bit of an edge when it comes to user feedback.

Omnisend vs Klaviyo: the verdict

Both Omnisend and Klaviyo are excellent email marketing platforms, and both give ecommerce businesses plenty of ways to reach customers, automate marketing and generate sales. The real question is whether you need Klaviyo’s extra depth — and whether it’s worth paying for.

For most small and midsize ecommerce businesses, I’d lean toward Omnisend. It’s easier to get to grips with, offers strong email, SMS and web push tools, and has more than enough automation, segmentation, reporting and AI functionality for most merchants. Its lower email pricing, free migration service and 24/7 support make it an especially attractive option if you want to get your marketing up and running without unnecessary complexity or expense.

Klaviyo is the better fit when you need to take things further. Its predictive segmentation, advanced analytics and experimentation tools give established businesses more ways to understand customers and fine-tune their marketing. Its larger integration ecosystem and wider range of customer-service, AI and data-management products also make it a stronger option for businesses with more complex marketing requirements.

The catch is that this extra functionality can mean more setup time, a steeper learning curve and higher costs — particularly when you start adding Klaviyo’s advanced products. So it’s worth asking whether you’ll actually use the additional capabilities you’re paying for.

Ultimately, Omnisend is the better-value choice for most merchants who want powerful ecommerce marketing without unnecessary complexity. Klaviyo is the stronger option for businesses that need additional data, analytics and customer-management capabilities — and have the resources to take advantage of them.

Omnisend vs Klaviyo: FAQ

Can I use Omnisend and Klaviyo for free?

Yes. Both offer free plans that let you send up to 500 emails per month to 250 contacts or profiles. Omnisend also includes 500 web push notifications per month, while Klaviyo provides a small monthly allowance for mobile messaging. Omnisend’s free plan includes 24/7 chat and email support. Klaviyo provides human email support for the first 60 days, after which free users can access its help resources and community.

Which is cheaper, Omnisend or Klaviyo?

Omnisend is generally cheaper for email marketing. For example, at 5,000 contacts, Omnisend Standard costs $81 per month, compared with $100 for Klaviyo. At 50,000 contacts, the equivalent prices are $413 and $720. Omnisend Standard also gives you more monthly email sends — generally 12 times your contact tier, compared with Klaviyo’s 10 times. Klaviyo’s additional analytics, service and data products can increase the total cost further.

Which is better for SMS marketing?

Omnisend generally offers lower SMS sending rates, making it attractive for businesses sending substantial volumes of text messages. Klaviyo, however, offers a wider range of mobile messaging options, including conversational SMS, RCS and WhatsApp. The cheapest option for your business will depend on your sending volume and the plans or add-ons you need.

Which is better for a large ecommerce business?

Both can support large stores. Klaviyo is particularly attractive when you need advanced predictive segmentation, analytics, experimentation or a wider range of customer-data and service tools. Omnisend may be the better-value option if your requirements are more focused on ecommerce marketing.

Can I migrate from Klaviyo to Omnisend?

Yes. Omnisend offers free migration assistance for eligible businesses with more than 250 contacts. Its team can help move contacts, segments and other marketing assets, and rebuild key workflows and forms. This can make switching considerably easier, although the exact scope of the service depends on your account and migration requirements.

Which platform is easier to use?

Omnisend is generally easier to get to grips with. Both have well-designed campaign editors and automation tools, but Omnisend has a more focused interface and less surrounding complexity. Klaviyo’s additional functionality is useful, but it can take longer to master.
