We’re pleased to have soft-launched our latest project, which is an independent guide to Dublin public transport. The site is run by Style Factory Director Chris Singleton, who is originally from Dublin.
The site is designed to act as a portal which contains all the information you need about Dublin’s trains, trams and buses in one place.
A key part of the site is the new Dublin train map that we designed with the help of Richard Hart at Grey Dog Design. Our aim was to provide a map that shows all Dublin rail lines in one place in an easy-to-understand format — one that wouldn’t be out of place in a major European capital like London, Berlin or Paris.
A key aim was to include wheelchair accessibility information for Dublin public transport on the new map — the existing maps are poor in this regard. The new map gives at-a-glance information regarding the suitability of stations for wheelchair users (and other individuals with a mobility impairment).
Additionally, the map provides clear information regarding which stations provide bike and car parking — again, something which is not really present on existing maps.
The site also contains comprehensive information about
Dublin airport bus services
The Dublin Public Transport site is currently in BETA format, so if you have any feedback on it, do let us know 🙂
